Mother Teresa's parents were Nikola and Drana Bojaxhiu. They had 5 children but only 3 of them survived. The three who survived were Aga Bojaxhiu, Lazar Bojaxhiu, and Mother Teresa. We sadly do not know the names of the children who died. Nikola was deeply involved in his local church and in the city's politics. Nikola was born in 1874 Prizen, a historical city located in Kosovo. When Mother Teresa was only 8 years old Nikola fell ill and died. Some people think that he was murdered since he was in politics. Drana was a housewife. Lazar Bojaxhiu was in the army. We do not know what Aga Bojaxhiu's job was.
Did you know....
Did you know that it only took Mother Teresa's mother to give her permission to go to India in one day even though she was shocked about her doing something like this. Did you know Lazar did not want Mother Teresa to go to India so he had many arguments with her. Also did you know that Mother Teresa is the youngest in her family. Finally did you know after Mother Teresa left for India she never saw her family again. But she did take care of her mother's and sister's grave stones. And soon when Mother Teresa died she was buried right next to them.
